SEE ALSO...

MAD2B Antibody (14) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects MAD2B in mouse, rat, and human samples through western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF) applications. Anti-MAD2B antibody (14) is available in a non-conjugated form, providing researchers with a versatile tool for studying this critical protein. MAD2B plays a vital role in the regulation of the mitotic spindle assembly checkpoint, ensuring that cells do not proceed to anaphase until all chromosomes are properly attached to the spindle apparatus. This function is crucial for maintaining genomic stability, as errors in chromosome segregation can lead to aneuploidy and contribute to tumorigenesis. MAD2B is localized to unattached kinetochores during pro-metaphase, where MAD2B acts as a sensor for spindle attachment; upon proper attachment, MAD2B disassociates, allowing the cell cycle to progress. Furthermore, MAD2B has been shown to interact with various proteins involved in cell cycle regulation, including the Insulin receptor, which suggests MAD2B′s involvement in mediating specific signaling pathways that influence cell proliferation and survival. Using MAD2B monoclonal antibody (14), researchers can gain insights into the mechanisms of cell cycle control and the implications of MAD2B dysregulation in cancer biology.
