Lysozyme C Antibody (H-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects Lysozyme C in mouse and rat samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Lysozyme C antibody (H-10) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Lysozyme C plays a crucial role in the immune system as a bacteriolytic enzyme, breaking down bacterial cell walls and providing a first line of defense against infections. Lysozyme C is predominantly found in various tissues and body fluids, where monocytes and macrophages secrete this protein, enhancing the activity of other immune agents. Lysozyme C′s ability to hydrolyze peptidoglycan, a major component of bacterial cell walls, is vital for innate immunity. Defects in Lysozyme C can lead to amyloidosis VIII, a condition characterized by amyloid protein accumulation in tissues, highlighting Lysozyme C′s importance not only in microbial defense but also in maintaining overall health.
