SEE ALSO...

LXRα/β Antibody (G-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects LXRα and LXRβ in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). LXRα/β (G-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and multiple conjugated forms, such as agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and various Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The liver X receptors (LXRs), which include LXRα and LXRβ, are crucial for regulating lipid metabolism and play a significant role in maintaining cholesterol homeostasis. These receptors are primarily located in the nucleus, where LXRs function as transcription factors that modulate the expression of genes involved in lipid and glucose metabolism. Nuclear localization enables direct influence on gene transcription in response to lipid levels, thereby impacting cellular lipid storage and utilization. Dysregulation of LXR activity has been linked to various metabolic disorders, including atherosclerosis and diabetes, highlighting LXRs′ potential as therapeutic targets. LXRα and LXRβ share considerable sequence homology and exhibit overlapping functions, responding to both endogenous and synthetic ligands, which underscores their critical roles in metabolic regulation.
