LTBP-2 Antibody (E-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects LTBP-2 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). LTBP-2 (E-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. LTBP-2 plays a crucial role in regulating transforming growth factor beta (TGF-β) signaling, as part of a latent complex secreted alongside TGF-β. LTBP-2 is essential for proper assembly and stabilization of the extracellular matrix, particularly in tissues rich in elastin, such as lung and heart. LTBP-2 features a multidomain structure, including 20 epidermal growth factor-like repeats and four 8-cysteine motifs, contributing to interactions with other extracellular matrix components. LTBP-2 localization within elastin-containing microfibrils maintains tissue elasticity and integrity, and LTBP-2 dysregulation has been implicated in conditions such as pseudoexfoliation syndrome, where abnormal fibrillar material accumulates in various tissues. LTBP-2 gene is located on human chromosome 14q24, highlighting significance in genetic studies related to connective tissue disorders.
