SEE ALSO...

LTBP-1 Antibody (H-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects LTBP-1 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). LTBP-1 (H-1) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Latent transforming growth factor-beta 1 binding protein 1 (LTBP-1) plays a crucial role in regulating the transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-beta) signaling pathway, which is essential for various cellular processes, including cell growth, differentiation, and immune response. LTBP-1 is primarily located in the extracellular matrix, where LTBP-1 serves as an anchor for latent TGF-beta, ensuring proper storage and activation. This localization allows for controlled release of TGF-beta in response to specific physiological signals, thereby influencing tissue repair and fibrosis. LTBP-1 mRNA is enriched in ovarian carcinoma tissues and highly expressed in serous and mucinous adenocarcinomas, highlighting LTBP-1′s potential role in cancer biology and as a biomarker for tumor progression.

I am using LTBP-1 (H-1): sc-271140 monoclonal antibody to stain paraffin embedded tissue. Do you recommend antigen retrieval when using this antibody?

Asked by: AbPolly
We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good resultsI've used the trial sample of this antibody in Western Blotting, in A375 and SK-Mel-5 melanoma cell lines. Loading a higher amount of protein (about 100ug) i was able to see a sharp band at the predicted weight.
