    SEE ALSO...

LSP1 Antibody (TDP153) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects LSP1 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP). LSP1 Antibody (TDP153) is available in non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. LSP1, also known as pp52, is a hematopoietic-expressed gene encoding an F-actin-binding, leukocyte-specific phosphoprotein that regulates leukocyte motility and chemotaxis. LSP1 is predominantly expressed in B and T lymphocytes, granulocytes, and macrophages, while mRNA splice variants not encoding lymphocyte-specific protein are found in non-lymphoid cell lines like myocytes, stromal cells, and fibroblasts, suggesting a broader role in signal transduction. LSP1 is located on human chromosome 11p15.5, a region associated with tumor-related chromosomal translocations in chronic lymphocytic leukemia. LSP1′s promoter contains essential regulatory elements, including an initiator defining unique 5′ terminus of LSP1 mRNA, tandem pairs of Ets and SP1 motifs, and a single C/EBP motif, critical for expression. Through cytoskeletal binding, LSP1 influences cytoskeletal remodeling, vital for leukocyte functions including movement and chemotactic response, making LSP1 significant for immune function and cancer research studies.

Can LSP1 (TDP153): sc-53363 monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

    Asked by: Dr Ninau Qelp
Thank you for your question. Yes, LSP1 (TDP153): sc-53363 has been validated for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
