SEE ALSO...

LIMK-1 Antibody (C-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects LIMK-1 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). LIMK-1 (C-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. LIMK-1, a member of the LIM kinase family, plays a crucial role in regulating the actin cytoskeleton by phosphorylating and inactivating Cofilin, a protein that severs actin filaments. This regulation is vital for maintaining cellular structure and motility, as LIMK-1 influences processes such as cell migration, morphogenesis, and neuronal differentiation. LIMK-1′s ability to modulate actin dynamics is particularly important in developmental biology and cancer metastasis, where altered cell movement can lead to significant physiological changes. Expression patterns of LIMK-1 and LIMK-2 suggest distinct roles during development, with LIMK-1 being implicated in inhibiting neuronal differentiation in certain contexts. Understanding LIMK-1 function and regulation is essential for elucidating contributions to cellular processes and potential therapeutic targets in diseases characterized by aberrant cell motility.

Are there any issues with using sc-28370: LIMK-1 (C-10) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

Asked by: Dr Ninau Qelp
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody. Please contact our special orders department for pricing and availability of sc-28370 conjugates.
