LHX2 Antibody (6G2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects LHX2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-LHX2 antibody (6G2) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. LHX2 protein plays a crucial role in the early patterning of the telencephalon, a critical region in the developing brain, where LHX2 helps to delineate cortical tissue from the cortical hem. This process is vital for proper brain development, as LHX2 influences the formation of various brain structures and ultimately impacts cognitive functions. The human LHX2 gene, located on chromosome 9q33.3, encodes a 389 amino acid protein that is part of the LIM homeodomain transcription factor family, which is essential for regulating gene expression during neurodevelopment. The intricate interplay of LHX2 with other LIM-type homeodomain factors, such as LHX1, LHX3, and Isl-1, underscores LHX2′s importance in establishing specific motor neuron subtypes and guiding axonal trajectories, thereby ensuring the fidelity of motor neuron development.
