    SEE ALSO...

LEMD1 Antibody (A-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects LEMD1 protein of mouse origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). LEMD1 (A-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. LEMD1, also known as cancer/testis antigen 50, is a 181 amino acid protein characterized by a single LEM domain, which is a conserved motif found in several nuclear-membrane proteins. LEMD1 is primarily localized to the nuclear membrane and is testis-specific, highlighting a potential role in reproductive biology. LEMD1 is produced in multiple isoforms due to alternative splicing, with isoform 6 being particularly relevant as LEMD1 has been detected in a significant proportion of colon cancer tissues. LEMD1 expression is believed to be linked to mitotic processes of rapidly proliferating cancer cells, suggesting a critical role in tumorigenesis. LEMD1 gene is located on human chromosome 1, which is the largest chromosome in the human genome and is associated with various diseases, including schizophrenia and Parkinson′s disease. Understanding LEMD1 function and implications in cellular processes can provide valuable insights into potential use as a biomarker or therapeutic target in cancer research.
