SEE ALSO...

Lefty Antibody (D-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Lefty protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Lefty (D-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Lefty protein is a crucial member of the transforming growth factor-beta (TGFβ) superfamily, which encompasses a variety of growth and differentiation factors essential for embryonic development and tissue homeostasis. Specifically, Lefty plays a pivotal role in left-right axis determination during embryogenesis, acting as a regulator of Nodal and Lefty-2. Lefty is primarily secreted from the prospective floor plate of developing embryos, where expression is vital for establishing the left-right asymmetry of organ systems in mammals. Notably, mutations in the Lefty gene have been linked to congenital malformations affecting the heart and lungs, as well as certain types of infertility due to dysregulated expression in the endometrium. anti-Lefty antibody (D-6) in multiple formats makes this an invaluable tool for researchers studying the intricate roles of Lefty in developmental biology and associated pathologies.
