LDH-D Antibody (F-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects lactate dehydrogenase D (LDH-D) in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). LDH-D is a 507 amino acid mitochondrial protein that plays a crucial role in the metabolism of D-lactate, a byproduct of anaerobic glycolysis, and is part of the D-isomer specific 2-hydroxyacid dehydrogenase family. LDH-D (F-4) antibody facilitates research on the conversion of D-lactate to pyruvate, which is essential for energy production and metabolic homeostasis, particularly in tissues that rely on anaerobic metabolism.
