LCMT1 Antibody (D-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects LCMT1 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). LCMT1 Antibody (D-10) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. LCMT1, or leucine carboxyl methyltransferase 1, plays a crucial role in regulating protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A), a serine/threonine phosphatase essential for cell growth and proliferation. LCMT1-mediated methylation of PP2A catalytic subunit′s C-terminal leucine represents a key post-translational modification influencing PP2A activity, impacting various cellular processes including mitotic progression and cell survival. LCMT1 dysregulation and PP2A interaction has been implicated in tumor progression, highlighting LCMT1′s importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis and potential as a therapeutic target in cancer treatment. Two LCMT1 isoforms arise from alternative splicing, contributing to functional diversity and regulatory mechanisms within the cell.
