SEE ALSO...

Laminin-5 Antibody (P3H9-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Laminin-5 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). Anti-Laminin-5 antibody (P3H9-2) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Laminin-5 is a crucial glycoprotein complex composed of three subunits: laminin-alpha3, -beta3, and -gamma2, which play a significant role in cell adhesion, signal transduction, and keratinocyte differentiation. Laminin-5 is primarily located in the basal lamina beneath epithelial tissues, where Laminin-5 is essential for anchoring basal epithelial cells to the extracellular matrix (ECM). The structural integrity and proper assembly of Laminin-5 are vital for maintaining tissue architecture and function, as any disruption can lead to pathological conditions such as blistering diseases and cancer metastasis. Furthermore, the differential processing of Laminin-5 subunits influences integration into the ECM, highlighting the importance of post-translational modifications in regulating function and interactions with other proteins.
