SEE ALSO...

Laminin-5 Antibody (P3E4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Laminin-5 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). Anti-Laminin-5 antibody (P3E4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Laminin-5 is a crucial glycoprotein complex composed of three subunits: laminin-alpha3, laminin-beta3, and laminin-gamma2, which play a significant role in cell adhesion, signal transduction, and keratinocyte differentiation. Laminin-5 is primarily located in the basal lamina beneath epithelial tissues, where Laminin-5 is essential for anchoring basal epithelial cells to the extracellular matrix (ECM). The structural integrity and proper assembly of Laminin-5 are vital for maintaining tissue architecture and function, as any alterations can lead to impaired cell adhesion and contribute to various pathological conditions, including cancer metastasis and skin disorders. Furthermore, the differential processing of Laminin-5 subunits influences integration into the ECM, highlighting the importance of post-translational modifications in regulating function and interactions with other proteins.
