    LAIR-1 Antibody (D-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects leukocyte-associated Ig-like receptor-1 (LAIR-1) in mouse and rat samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). LAIR-1 is a transmembrane glycoprotein predominantly expressed on human peripheral blood mononuclear leukocytes, playing a crucial role in immune regulation. LAIR-1 is located on the cell surface, where LAIR-1 functions as an inhibitory receptor that modulates immune responses by recruiting SHP-1, a phosphatase that negatively regulates cell signaling pathways. This interaction is vital for maintaining the balance of immune activation and inhibition, particularly in T lymphocytes, where LAIR-1 helps establish signaling thresholds that prevent overactivation. Notably, LAIR-1 phosphorylation at specific tyrosine residues, such as Tyr 233 and Tyr 263, is essential for function, as phosphorylation facilitates SHP-1 recruitment and influences downstream signaling events. LAIR-1′s ability to inhibit proliferation and induce programmed cell death in myelomonocytic leukemic cell lines underscores LAIR-1′s importance in regulating immune cell behavior. Furthermore, LAIR-1 cross-linking on natural killer cells significantly dampens cytotoxic activity, highlighting LAIR-1′s role in modulating immune responses. LAIR-1 (D-11) antibody is an invaluable tool for researchers studying immune regulation and signaling mechanisms involved in leukocyte function.
