LAIR-1 Antibody (F-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects LAIR-1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). LAIR-1 (F-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The leukocyte-associated Ig-like receptor-1, or LAIR-1, is a transmembrane glycoprotein predominantly expressed on human peripheral blood mononuclear leukocytes, playing a crucial role in immune regulation. Notably, LAIR-1 undergoes phosphorylation at tyrosine residues 233 and 263, which are essential for function. Upon activation, LAIR-1 recruits SHP-1, a phosphatase that serves as a negative regulator of cell signaling, particularly in hematopoietic cells. This interaction helps establish T cell receptor signaling thresholds, influencing both development and function of T lymphocytes. Furthermore, LAIR-1 engagement on myelomonocytic leukemic cell lines inhibits cell proliferation and induces programmed cell death, while LAIR-1 cross-linking on natural killer cells significantly dampens cytotoxic activity. LAIR-1 phosphorylation is likely mediated by Src family kinases, as evidenced by PP1 inhibitory effects on this process.
