L-Selectin Antibody (3H1611) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects L-Selectin in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and flow cytometry (FCM). L-Selectin, also known as LECAM-1 or CD62L, plays a crucial role in the immune response by mediating the adhesion of leukocytes to the endothelium, which is essential for the migration of immune cells to sites of inflammation. L-Selectin is predominantly expressed on the surface of naive T cells, B cells, and various types of leukocytes, including monocytes, neutrophils, and eosinophils. L-Selectin′s ability to interact with specific carbohydrates on activated endothelial cells facilitates the initial steps of leukocyte extravasation, a process vital for effective immune surveillance and response. The structural features of L-Selectin, including its lectin-like domain, are important for binding affinity and specificity to ligands such as sialyl-Lex, which are expressed on activated endothelial cells. Anti-L-Selectin antibody (3H1611) enables researchers to gain insights into the mechanisms of immune cell trafficking and L-Selectin′s role in various pathological conditions, including inflammatory diseases and cancer.
