L-Plastin Antibody (C-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects L-Plastin in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). L-Plastin, a member of the plastin family of actin-binding proteins, plays a crucial role in cytoskeletal organization and is particularly important in regulating cell adhesion and motility, especially in hematopoietic cells. L-Plastin expression is notably elevated in various human cancer cell lines derived from solid tumors, highlighting L-Plastin involvement in cancer invasion and metastasis. L-Plastin ability to modulate leukocyte adhesion is critical for immune responses, and L-Plastin phosphorylation status is essential for the regulation of integrin signaling pathways, which are vital for cell communication and movement. Anti-L-Plastin antibody (C-4) is an invaluable tool for researchers studying the dynamics of cell behavior in both normal and pathological conditions, providing insights into the mechanisms underlying cancer progression and immune function.

What is the difference between C-4 and B-9 l-plastin antibodies? different parts of the protein?  thank you

Asked by: MJY1
Thank you for your question. These antibodies are produced by different clones. Both of them were raised against amino acid range 298-331 of human Plastin, but target different sequences within that region. Due to this they will also exhibit slight differences in their binding properties, but will generally perform quite similarly.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-133219 P appropriate for?

Asked by: jenniferc
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
