L-Plastin Antibody (B-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects L-Plastin protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). L-Plastin Antibody (B-9) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. L-Plastin, also known as Plastin L or LCP1, belongs to the plastin family of actin-binding proteins, which maintain cytoskeletal structural integrity and dynamics. L-Plastin is predominantly expressed in hematopoietic cell lineages, playing a vital role in regulating cell adhesion and motility - processes essential for immune response and tissue repair. L-Plastin shows frequent overexpression in mammary solid tumor cell lines, indicating involvement in cancer invasion and metastasis. L-Plastin phosphorylation significantly modulates integrin signaling pathways, influencing leukocyte adhesion and migration. L-Plastin expression appears in numerous human cancer cell lines from various solid tumors, suggesting potential use as a cancer progression biomarker. T-Plastin, another plastin family member, shows expression in many tissues but remains absent in leukocytes, highlighting distinct functional roles in different cellular contexts.
