Ku86 Antibody (B-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Ku86 protein of human origin through various applications including western blotting, immunoprecipitation, immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry (FCM), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Ku86 (B-1) antibody is offered in both non-conjugated and multiple conjugated forms, such as agarose, horseradish peroxidase, phycoerythrin, fluorescein isothiocyanate, and various Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Ku86, which is part of the Ku heterodimer alongside Ku70, plays a crucial role in DNA repair and maintenance of genomic stability. Ku86 is primarily located in the nucleus, where Ku86 binds to DNA double-strand breaks, facilitating the recruitment of DNA repair machinery. This function is vital for cellular integrity, as Ku86 helps prevent mutations that could lead to cancer or other genetic disorders. Ku86 is involved in transcriptional regulation, influencing the activity of RNA polymerase II and the expression of genes essential for cell survival and proliferation.
