KLF6 Antibody (E-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects KLF6 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). KLF6 Antibody (E-10) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The Krüppel-like factor 6 (KLF6) protein plays a crucial role in regulating gene expression and is involved in various cellular processes, including cell proliferation and differentiation. KLF6 functions as a transcription factor that can upregulate the cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor p21, thereby inhibiting cell cycle progression in a p53-independent manner, which is particularly important in the context of cancer biology. KLF6 is predominantly expressed in the placenta, where KLF6 co-localizes with KLF4 and pregnancy glycoprotein in the same cell types of placental villi and membranes, highlighting its significance in developmental processes. KLF6 is also found in other tissues such as the spleen, thymus, prostate, testis, small intestine, and colon. The gene encoding human KLF6 is located on chromosome 10p15 and has been implicated in a subset of human prostate cancer cases, making KLF6 a valuable target for research in cancer therapeutics and diagnostics.
