KLC1 Antibody (L2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects KLC1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-KLC1 antibody (L2) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The kinesin light chain 1 (KLC1) protein plays a crucial role in intracellular transport, functioning as a key component of the kinesin motor protein complex, which is essential for the movement of cellular cargo along microtubules. KLC1 is primarily located in the cytoplasm, where KLC1 interacts with kinesin heavy chains to facilitate the transport of organelles, vesicles, and protein complexes, thereby maintaining cellular organization and function. Proper functioning of KLC1 is vital for neuronal health, as KLC1 supports the transport of essential materials to and from the cell body and axon terminals, which is particularly important in the context of neurodegenerative diseases where transport mechanisms may be compromised. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody.
