KIR2DL1 Antibody (JJ C11.6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects the KIR2DL1 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and flow cytometry (FCM). KIR2DL1 (JJ C11.6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The KIR2DL1 protein plays a crucial role in the immune response by downregulating the cytotoxic activity of natural killer (NK) cells when recognizing specific class I major histocompatibility complex (MHC) molecules on target cells. This interaction is vital for maintaining self-tolerance and preventing autoimmunity, as KIR2DL1 helps to distinguish between healthy and infected or transformed cells. Structurally, KIR2DL1 is a type I transmembrane protein composed of 348 amino acids, featuring an extracellular region with immunoglobulin-like domains that facilitate binding to human leukocyte antigen-C (HLA-C). The binding occurs through a specific pocket that coordinates key residues, allowing for both polar and hydrophobic interactions, which are essential for the receptor′s function. Anti-KIR2DL1 antibody (JJ C11.6) is an invaluable tool for researchers studying NK cell regulation and the intricate mechanisms of immune evasion by tumors and pathogens.

How can KIR2DL1 (JJ C11.6): sc-53595 mouse monoclonal antibody be used for double or triple staining, if the other primary antibodies are also raised in mouse?

Asked by: TinTin
In this case, we recommend using a directly conjugated mouse monoclonal primary antibody. This antibody is available conjugated to phycoerythrin (sc-53595 PE) or fluoroscein (sc-53595 FITC).
