    KCNH5 Antibody (A-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects KCNH5 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). KCNH5 (A-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. KCNH5, also known as potassium voltage-gated channel subfamily H member 5 or human ether-a-go-go potassium channel 2 (hEAG2), plays a critical role in regulating cellular excitability, particularly in the nervous system. KCNH5 functions as the α subunit of a multi-pass transmembrane potassium channel, which is essential for forming the channel′s pore. KCNH5′s structure is significant because KCNH5 can exist as a homo- or heterotetramer, allowing for diverse functional properties through association with modulating β subunits. This structural versatility is crucial for KCNH5′s ability to adapt to various physiological conditions, influencing membrane potential and action potential dynamics. KCNH5 is expressed in a wide range of tissues, including brain, skeletal muscle, heart, placenta, lung, liver, and, to a lesser extent, kidney, highlighting KCNH5′s importance in multiple biological processes.
