    SEE ALSO...

JMJD2D Antibody (F-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects JMJD2D of mouse and rat origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). JMJD2D (F-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. JMJD2D, also known as Jumonji domain-containing protein 2D, JHDM3D, or KDM4D, is a 520 amino acid protein that plays a pivotal role in gene expression regulation through histone demethylase function. Located primarily in the nucleus, JMJD2D specifically removes methyl groups from Histone H3, essential for dynamic regulation of chromatin structure and function, thereby influencing transcriptional activity. JMJD2D′s ability to bind iron as a cofactor and possession of both JMJC and JMJN domains are critical for enzymatic activity during chromatin remodeling processes. Additionally, JMJD2D interacts with the ligand-bound form of androgen receptor (AR), enhancing AR expression, which is particularly significant since AR overexpression links to prostate cancer. This interaction suggests JMJD2D may influence carcinogenesis through AR regulation, making JMJD2D a valuable target for cancer biology research and therapeutic development.

Are there any issues with using sc-393750: JMJD2D (F-7) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

    Asked by: DefinitelyNotMatt
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody. Please contact our special orders department for pricing and availability of sc-393750 conjugates.
