JAK1 Antibody (B-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects JAK1 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). JAK1 Antibody (B-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. JAK1, or Janus kinase 1, is a crucial component of the non-receptor Janus tyrosine kinase family, which plays a vital role in mediating cellular responses to cytokine signaling in the lympho-hematopoietic system. Located primarily in the cytoplasm, JAK1 becomes activated upon cytokine binding to respective receptors, leading to phosphorylation and subsequent activation. This activation enables recruitment of Signal Transducer and Activator of Transcription (Stat) proteins, which dimerize and translocate to the nucleus to regulate gene expression. Proper JAK1 function maintains immune homeostasis by influencing cell proliferation, differentiation, and survival in response to immunological stimuli. Dysregulation of JAK1 activity can lead to various inflammatory diseases, making JAK1 a significant target for therapeutic intervention in conditions characterized by excessive cytokine signaling.
