JAB1 Antibody (B-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects JAB1 of mouse, rat, and human origin through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry (IHC), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). JAB1 Antibody (B-7) is offered in both non-conjugated and multiple conjugated forms, such as agarose, horseradish peroxidase, phycoerythrin, fluorescein isothiocyanate, and various Alexa Fluor® conjugates. JAB1, also known as Jun Activation Domain-Binding Protein 1, plays a crucial role in regulating the activity of Jun proteins, which are key components of the AP-1 transcription factor complex. This complex is essential for mediating the expression of genes in response to various stimuli, including tumor promoters like phorbol esters. JAB1 enhances the transactivating ability of Jun proteins by stabilizing their binding to the TPA-response element, thereby facilitating the formation of active heterodimers with Fos proteins, which significantly increases their affinity for DNA. JAB1 interaction with c-Jun is particularly important, as this interaction not only augments c-Jun activity but also promotes the phosphorylation of its activation domain, ultimately influencing cellular processes such as proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis.
