ISG20 Antibody (C-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ISG20 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-ISG20 antibody (C-12) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The interferon-stimulated gene 20 (ISG20) protein functions as a 3′ to 5′ exonuclease, specifically degrading single-stranded RNA, which is crucial for the cellular response to viral infections. ISG20′s localization within promyelocytic leukemia (PML) nuclear bodies is significant, as ISG20 plays a role in the antiviral defense mechanism by targeting viral RNA, thereby conferring resistance to pathogens such as vesicular stomatitis virus, influenza virus, and encephalomyocarditis virus. Additionally, ISG20′s expression is not only vital for antiviral protection but may also influence estrogen-mediated cellular proliferation and differentiation, highlighting ISG20′s multifaceted role in both immune response and cellular regulation.
