IRAK-4 Antibody (G-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects IRAK-4 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). IRAK-4 (G-2) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. IRAK-4, also known as Interleukin-1 Receptor-Associated Kinase 4, plays a crucial role in the innate immune response by mediating signal transduction from Toll-like receptors and interleukin-1 receptors, which are vital for the activation of the NFkB signaling pathway and MAP kinase pathways. IRAK-4 is primarily located in the cytoplasm and is essential for proper immune cell functioning, as IRAK-4 facilitates IRAK-1 phosphorylation, thereby amplifying immune response. IRAK-4 shows high expression in liver and kidney tissues, with lower levels found in other tissues, underscoring IRAK-4′s importance in maintaining immune homeostasis. IRAK-4 deficiencies can lead to severe immunological consequences, including recurrent bacterial infections and diminished response to lipopolysaccharides and interleukin-1, making IRAK-4 a potential target for therapeutic interventions aimed at enhancing immune function.
