    SEE ALSO...

IPP-1 Antibody (B-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects IPP-1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). IPP-1 (B-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The inhibitor of protein phosphatase 1 (IPP-1, also known as I-1) is crucial for regulating phosphorylation of other proteins, which is vital for numerous cellular processes, including signal transduction and metabolic regulation. IPP-1 is phosphorylated by cyclic AMP-dependent protein kinase, which modulates activity and function. IPP-1 is predominantly located in skeletal muscles and specific neuronal systems within the brain, indicating potential involvement in distinct physiological roles across different tissues and developmental stages. IPP-1 expression and localization suggest influence on protein phosphatase type 1 (PP-1) regulation in a context-dependent manner, as PP-1 can bind to both phosphorylated and dephosphorylated forms of IPP-1. The conversion of PP-1 to an Mn2+-dependent state is influenced by IPP-1, highlighting importance in glycogen metabolism regulation, particularly in hormonal control.
