Integrin β8 Antibody (E-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects Integrin beta 8 (ITGB8) of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Integrin β8 (E-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ITGB8 plays a crucial role in cell adhesion and signaling, functioning as a receptor that mediates interactions between cells and the extracellular matrix. ITGB8 is primarily located on the cell surface, where ITGB8 forms heterodimers with alpha subunits, contributing to the formation of more than 20 different integrin receptors. This localization allows ITGB8 to interact with ligands such as fibronectin and collagen, facilitating cellular responses essential for processes like migration, differentiation, and tissue repair. The ability of ITGB8 to bind to soluble ligands and counterreceptors on adjacent cells underscores ITGB8′s importance in cell aggregation and communication, making ITGB8 a key player in various physiological and pathological processes. Whether do this antibody work on mouse cells?

Thank you for your question. Integrin beta 8 Antibody (E-6) is only recommended for detection of Integrin β8 of human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA. We do not recommend it for use with murine samples.
