Integrin αX Antibody (D-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Integrin αX of mouse and rat origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Integrin αX Antibody (D-8) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Integrin αX, also known as CD11c or leukocyte surface antigen p150,95, is a type 1 transmembrane protein that plays a crucial role in the immune response by forming a leukocyte-specific integrin when combined with the β2 chain, known as the inactivated-C3b receptor 4 (CR4). This integrin is essential for mediating the adherence of neutrophils and monocytes to activated endothelial cells, as well as facilitating the phagocytosis of complement-coated particles. Integrin αX enables dendritic cells, macrophages, and natural killer cells to migrate to lymphoid tissues and interact with T and B cells, thereby shaping the adaptive immune response. Abnormal expression of Integrin αX is associated with hairy cell leukemia, highlighting its significance in both normal immune function and disease states. Integrin αX transcription is influenced by various proteins and DNA elements, including Sp1, AP-1 family members, and PU.1, which underscores the complexity of its regulation and importance within the immune system.
