Integrin αX Antibody (3H986) is a hamster monoclonal IgG antibody that detects Integrin αX in mouse samples through immunofluorescence (IF) and flow cytometry (FCM) applications. Integrin αX is a type 1 transmembrane protein that plays a crucial role in the immune system by forming a leukocyte-specific integrin when combined with the β2 chain, known as the inactivated-C3b receptor 4 (CR4). Anti-Integrin αX antibody (3H986) recognizes a protein essential for mediating the adherence of neutrophils and monocytes to activated endothelial cells, as well as facilitating the phagocytosis of complement-coated particles, which is vital for an effective immune response. Abnormal expression of Integrin αX is notably associated with hairy cell leukemia, highlighting its significance in cancer biology and the activation of proto-oncogenes such as Ras and JunD. The transcription of Integrin αX is influenced by various proteins and DNA elements, including Sp1, AP-1 family members, C/EBP, Oct-2, and PU.1, which underscores the complexity of its regulation. Integrin αX is predominantly found on monocyte-derived dendritic cells, macrophages, and natural killer cells, and upon activation, dendritic cells located in tissues such as the skin, lungs, and intestines can migrate to lymphoid tissues, where they interact with T and B cells to initiate and modulate the immune response.
