Integrin αV/β5 Antibody (P1F76) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody raised against human UCLA P3 cells, designed for the detection of Integrin αV and Integrin β5 proteins of mouse, rat, and human origin by immunoprecipitation (IP) and immunofluorescence (IF). Integrin αV/β5, also known as ITGAV/ITGB5 respectively, is a heterodimeric transmembrane receptor composed of the αV (CD51) and β5 (ITGB5) subunits, which are part of the integrin family involved in cell adhesion and signaling. Located primarily on the cell surface within the plasma membrane, Integrin αV/β5 plays a crucial role in mediating interactions between cells and the extracellular matrix (ECM) by binding to ligands such as vitronectin and fibronectin, essential for processes like cell migration, differentiation, growth, and apoptosis. The localization of Integrin αV/β5 at the cell membrane is significant because this interaction facilitates signal transmission from the ECM to the intracellular environment, influencing cytoskeletal organization and activating various signaling pathways.
