Integrin α3 Antibody (A-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Integrin alpha 3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Integrin α3 (A-3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Integrin alpha 3 protein, also known as very late activation antigen 3 (VLA-3), plays a crucial role in cell adhesion and signaling as a key component of the extracellular matrix receptor family. Integrin alpha 3 is primarily located on the cell surface, where forming heterodimers with β1 subunits facilitates interactions with extracellular matrix components such as fibronectin and collagen. Proper localization of Integrin alpha 3 maintains tissue architecture and mediates cellular responses to the extracellular environment. Binding to various ligands promotes cell adhesion and triggers intracellular signaling pathways that influence cell growth, differentiation, and migration. Additionally, Integrin alpha 3 chain undergoes post-translational modifications, including cleavage in the extracellular domain, essential for functional integrity and interaction with other proteins. Using anti-Integrin alpha 3 antibody (A-3) in research provides valuable insights into cell adhesion and signaling mechanisms, contributing to better understanding of various biological processes and disease states.
