IL-28/29 Antibody (H-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects IL-28A, IL-28B, and IL-29 proteins of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). IL-28/29 (H-1) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. IL-28A, IL-28B, and IL-29 are crucial components of the immune response, primarily secreted by immune cells such as macrophages, B-cells, and T-cells. These cytokines play a significant role in antiviral immunity, as viral infections induce their production and exhibit antiviral activity. IL-28A and IL-28B enhance the expression of major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I molecules, which are essential for presenting viral antigens to CD8+ T cells, facilitating an effective immune response. These interleukins act as ligands for a heterodimeric receptor composed of IL-10Rβ and IL-28R, further underscoring their importance in modulating immune responses. The genes encoding IL-28A, IL-28B, and IL-29 are located in a cytokine gene cluster on human chromosome 19q13, highlighting their evolutionary conservation and functional significance in the immune system.
