SEE ALSO...

IGFBP2 Antibody (G-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects IGFBP2 in mouse and rat samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). IGFBP2 (G-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Insulin-like growth factor-binding proteins (IGFBPs) are crucial regulators of the IGF signaling system, and IGFBP2 plays a significant role in modulating IGF bioavailability by acting as a chaperone that transports growth factors to target tissues. This transport function ensures IGFs exert biological effects in a controlled manner, influencing processes such as cell growth, differentiation, and metabolism. IGFBP2 is expressed in various human tissues, including fetal eye and fetal brain, highlighting developmental importance. IGFBP2 interaction with IGFs affects their concentration and distribution in the extracellular environment, further emphasizing regulatory significance. Understanding IGFBP2 dynamics and IGF interactions is essential for elucidating growth factor signaling complexities and implications in health and disease.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-515134 P appropriate for?

Asked by: TinTin
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization

Rated 3 out of 5 by from primary hepatocytes - western blot analysisThis antibody detected Igfbp2 below the 37kDa marker band in whole cell lysates of primary hepatocytes from C57Bl6 mice. Unfortunately a second (unspecific) band appered above the Igfbp2 band in all lysates tested. A dilution of 1:500 in 5% milk powder in TBS-T was used. Secondary anti-mouse antibody was diluted 1:1000.
