SEE ALSO...

IFT172 Antibody (A-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects IFT172 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). IFT172 (A-11) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. IFT172, also known as intraflagellar transport 172, plays a crucial role in cilia assembly and maintenance, which are essential for numerous cellular processes, including signaling pathways such as the hedgehog pathway. Cilia are involved in regulating various developmental processes and cellular signaling, making proper functioning of IFT172 vital for normal cellular activity. IFT172 localizes to the cilium as part of the intraflagellar transport machinery, facilitating transport of proteins necessary for ciliary structure and function. IFT172 contains fourteen tetratricopeptide repeats and nine WD repeats, which enable interactions with other intraflagellar transport proteins. Disruption of IFT172 function can lead to defects in cilia formation and maintenance, resulting in various developmental disorders and diseases.

Are there any issues with using sc-398393: IFT172 (A-11) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

Asked by: AbPolly
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody. Please contact our special orders department for pricing and availability of sc-398393 conjugates.
