IDH2 Antibody (B-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects IDH2 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-IDH2 antibody (B-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. IDH2, or isocitrate dehydrogenase 2 (NADP+), mitochondrial, is a crucial enzyme composed of 452 amino acids, encoded by the human gene IDH2. This enzyme plays a vital role in cellular metabolism by catalyzing the conversion of isocitrate to alpha-ketoglutarate while reducing NADP+ to NADPH, which is essential for maintaining the cellular redox state and supporting the synthesis of glutathione, a key antioxidant. The proper functioning of IDH2 is critical for energy production and intermediary metabolism, as IDH2 helps regulate the balance of metabolic intermediates in the mitochondria.
