IDH1/2 Antibody (G-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects IDH1/2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). IDH1/2 (G-11) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. IDH2 protein, also known as isocitrate dehydrogenase 2 (NADP+, mitochondrial), is a crucial enzyme composed of 452 amino acids, encoded by the human gene IDH2. IDH2 is integral to cellular metabolism, catalyzing the conversion of isocitrate to alpha-ketoglutarate while reducing NADP+ to NADPH, which maintains cellular redox state and supports glutathione synthesis, a key antioxidant. IDH2 functions are essential for energy production and intermediary metabolism, with dysregulation implicated in various metabolic disorders and cancers. IDH2 localizes in the mitochondrion, forming a homodimer and binding to either magnesium or manganese ions, which are critical for enzymatic activity. IDH2′s close association with the pyruvate dehydrogenase complex links carbohydrate metabolism to the tricarboxylic acid cycle, highlighting IDH2′s importance in cellular energy homeostasis.

Hello What mutations detects clone G11 of idh1/2

Thank you for your question. IDH1/2 Antibody (G-11): sc-373816 specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 123-154 within an internal region of IDH2 of human origin. Mutations within this region may cause the antibody to no longer detect the protein. Mutations outside amino acids 123-154 may not have any impact on detection. Please contact our technical service to arrange for a sample of this antibody if you want to try out whether it is suitable for your application.
