SEE ALSO...

Id1 Antibody (G-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody engineered to recognize the full-length mouse Id1 protein by targeting an epitope encompassing amino acids 1-148. Inhibitor of DNA binding 1 (Id1), also called Idb1, bHLHb24, and D2Wsu140e, is a critical member of the Inhibitor of DNA binding (Id) family of basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) proteins, and plays a vital role in regulating cellular processes such as differentiation, proliferation, and angiogenesis. Id1 primarily functions by dimerizing with class A and B HLH proteins, including key transcription factors like E12, E47, and MyoD, thereby preventing their binding to DNA and inhibiting their transcriptional activity. These interactions are essential for controlling gene expression related to muscle-specific differentiation, as Id1 inhibits the ability of MyoD and related factors to activate myogenic genes. Additionally, Id1 interacts with the retinoblastoma protein (pRB), influencing cell cycle progression and contributing to the regulation of cell proliferation. By binding to these proteins, Id1 effectively modulates pathways involved in cell growth and differentiation, making Id1 a crucial player in both normal physiological processes and pathological conditions such as cancer. anti-Id1 antibody (G-7) is validated for use in multiple applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), and exhibits broad species reactivity, effectively recognizing Id1 proteins from mouse, rat, and human origins. This versatility makes Id1 monoclonal antibody (G-7) an indispensable tool for researchers investigating the complex interactions and regulatory mechanisms of Id1 in various biological contexts. By facilitating the study of Id1′s interactions with specific proteins and impact on cellular functions, Id1 (G-7) antibody supports advancements in understanding muscle differentiation, cell cycle control, and the molecular pathways underlying numerous diseases, thereby contributing to significant breakthroughs in both basic research and therapeutic development.

I am using the LiCor/Odyssey system. Which secondary antibody do you recommend using with Id1 (G-7): sc-374287?

Asked by: TinTin
We recommend using one of our our exclusive Mouse IgG Binding Proteins conjugated to CFL 680 or CFL 790. They are suitable for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR/Odyssey and other comparable systems. A complete list of available binding proteins is available on our website here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/browse/support-products-mouse-igg-binding-proteins/_/N-ecrety
