ICAD Antibody (H-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects ICAD in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ICAD, or Inhibitor of Caspase-Activated DNase, plays a crucial role in the regulation of apoptosis by forming a complex with CAD (Caspase-Activated DNase), thereby inhibiting its activity and preventing premature DNA fragmentation during the early stages of apoptosis. This regulation ensures that DNA is only cleaved when cells are fully committed to the apoptotic process, thus maintaining genomic integrity until the appropriate time for cell death.
