HSP 60 Antibody (A57-B9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects HSP 60 of C. trachomatis origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). HSP 60 (A57-B9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Heat shock protein 60 (HSP 60) plays a crucial role in mitochondrial function, acting as a molecular chaperone that assists in proper folding and assembly of newly synthesized proteins destined for the mitochondrial matrix. HSP 60 is essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis, particularly under stress conditions, as HSP 60 helps prevent aggregation of misfolded proteins, which can lead to cellular dysfunction and disease.
