SEE ALSO...

HSP 47 Antibody (E-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects HSP 47 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-HSP 47 antibody (E-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. HSP 47, also known as collagen 1, serpinh1, collagen-binding protein 1 (CBP1), and gp46, is predominantly located in the endoplasmic reticulum of procollagen-producing cells, where HSP 47 plays a crucial role in proper folding and assembly of collagen. HSP 47 is essential for biosynthesis of Collagen Type I, which maintains structural integrity of various tissues. As a molecular chaperone, HSP 47 ensures procollagen is correctly processed and secreted, preventing accumulation of misfolded proteins that could lead to cellular stress and tissue damage. HSP 47 synthesis increases in response to growth factors such as TGFβ and pro-inflammatory cytokines like IL-1β, highlighting HSP 47′s importance in both normal physiological processes and stress responses.
