HSP 40 Antibody (5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects heat shock protein 40 (HSP 40) in human samples through western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP) applications. HSP 40, also known as DnaJ, plays a crucial role in cellular stress responses by functioning as a molecular chaperone that assists in the proper folding of proteins and the prevention of protein aggregation. Anti-HSP 40 antibody (5) recognizes a protein primarily located in the cytoplasm but translocates to the nucleus and nucleoli in response to heat shock, highlighting its importance in cellular adaptation to stress. HSP 40 interacts with HSP 70 (DnaK) and GrpE, forming a complex that is essential for the assembly and disassembly of protein complexes, as well as the renaturation of denatured proteins.
