HSF2 Antibody (G-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects HSF2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-HSF2 antibody (G-11) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. HSF2 plays a crucial role in cellular response to stress, particularly in regulating heat shock genes, which are essential for protecting cells from damage caused by elevated temperatures and other stressors. HSF2 is primarily located in the nucleus, where HSF2 functions as a transcription factor that binds to heat shock elements in promoter regions of target genes. This nuclear localization enables HSF2 to effectively regulate gene expression in response to stress, ensuring appropriate protective mechanisms are activated. HSF2 interacts with HSF1, another heat shock transcription factor, and both factors can form trimers to bind DNA, highlighting their collaborative role in stress response and cellular homeostasis. HSF2′s ability to be upregulated by estrogen further underscores HSF2′s importance in developmental processes and differentiation, making HSF2 (G-11) monoclonal antibody an invaluable tool for researchers studying stress response mechanisms and related pathways in various biological contexts.

When should the TransCruz reagent sc-74529 X be used instead of the standard form sc-74529?

Asked by: Professor Griffin
Thank you for your question. We recommend using the TransCruz reagent form when performing ChIP or GelShift assays. This form can also be used in other applications such as Western Blot or IHC, but the dilution should be adjusted by a factor of 10 to account for the higher original concentration.
