    SEE ALSO...

HPS-4 Antibody (A-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects HPS-4 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). HPS-4 (A-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. HPS-4 protein, also known as light-ear protein homolog, plays a crucial role in the biogenesis of lysosome-related organelles, which are essential for various cellular functions, including processing and storage of cellular waste and transport of proteins. Defects in HPS4 gene, which encodes HPS-4 protein, can lead to Hermansky-Pudlak syndrome type 4, a rare genetic disorder characterized by oculocutaneous albinism, lysosomal storage defects, and prolonged bleeding due to platelet storage pool deficiency. HPS-4 interaction with other proteins within the biogenesis of lysosome-related organelle complexes is vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and function, highlighting HPS-4 importance in both health and disease.
