HPA1 Antibody (E-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects HPA1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). HPA1 (E-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. HPA1, also known as heparanase-1, plays a crucial role in degrading heparan sulfate side chains of heparan sulfate proteoglycans in the extracellular matrix, which is vital for processes such as tumor metastasis and inflammation. By dismantling the subendothelial basal membrane, HPA1 facilitates the extravasation of blood-borne tumor cells and inflammatory leukocytes, thereby promoting angiogenesis and tumor vascularization. Additionally, proteolytic processing of HPA1 at the cell surface generates an active form that can be endocytosed by fibroblasts, leading to cytoplasmic accumulation. The gene encoding human HPA1 is located on chromosome 4q21.3, and HPA1′s ability to release growth factors and cytokines upon degradation underscores its importance in cell proliferation and chemotaxis, making HPA1 a significant target for research in cancer biology and therapeutic interventions.
