    SEE ALSO...

HPA1 Antibody (D-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects HPA1 of mouse and rat origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). HPA1 (D-3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. HPA1 plays a crucial role in the degradation of heparan sulfate side chains of heparan sulfate proteoglycans in the extracellular matrix, which is vital for processes such as tumor metastasis and inflammation. By dismantling the subendothelial basal membrane, HPA1 facilitates the extravasation of blood-borne tumor cells and inflammatory leukocytes, thereby promoting angiogenesis and enhancing tumor vascularization. Additionally, the degradation of heparan sulfate proteoglycans by HPA1 releases growth factors and cytokines that stimulate cell proliferation and chemotaxis, further contributing to tumor progression. Notably, fibroblasts can endocytose extracellular HPA1, leading to its accumulation in the cytoplasm, which underscores its significance in cellular signaling and interaction. The gene encoding human HPA1 is located on chromosome 4q21.3, highlighting its genetic importance in various biological processes.
