HoxB6 Antibody (D-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects HoxB6 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-HoxB6 antibody (D-12) plays a crucial role in understanding the function of HoxB6 protein, which is essential for the generation, proliferation, and survival of erythroid progenitor cells. HoxB6 protein is primarily expressed in the suprabasal layer of the early developing epidermis and throughout the upper layers of late fetal and adult human skin, highlighting its importance in skin development and homeostasis. Notably, HoxB6 exhibits distinct expression patterns, being cytoplasmically localized during fetal epidermal development while transitioning to nuclear expression in normal adult skin. In hyperproliferative skin conditions, HoxB6 maintains nuclear localization, which may be indicative of its role in cellular proliferation and differentiation. However, in basal and squamous cell carcinomas, HoxB6 is predominantly found in the cytoplasm, suggesting a potential shift in function or regulation in pathological states.
